I applied through the Amazon Career Portal. After a short wait I got an invitation for the Online Assessment by email. Communication throughout was fully automated from a no-reply address or scheduling bot, so I had no direct HR contact to clarify expectations.

one involving tree traversal/burning-tree-style propagation, and one on merging overlapping intervals.

Round Experience
The interviewer opened with behavioral questions, then pivoted into designing a parking lot system. I had prepared mainly for DSA and was caught off guard, not having brushed up on OOP/design. When I raised this mismatch, the interviewer explained the question was meant to gauge general problem-solving ability. The conversation stayed cooperative and supportive.
Verdict: I was rejected, primarily due to weaker performance in the design-oriented Round 2.
